A cutting-edge arts event to mobilise the creative energy in the city of Bath, sparking conversations and ideas about the city’s future commitment to the contemporary arts.

Through Wayne’s involvement as a trustee of 5x5x5=-creativity, we were able to offer support in this most exciting project. We worked closely with the talented students at Bath Spa University’s Bath School of Art & Design to co-create a brand identity and website, as well crafting the tone of voice to be used in the social media campaign by BSU Publishing students. The identity conveys elements of mystery, playfulness and imagination – communicated through a stylised squirrel with an acorn(!)

The Forest of Imagination proved to be a ‘gallery without walls’, inviting creative practitioners to transform unexpected spaces into places for creative exchange.  Using a multi-disciplinary approach, it provided visitors with an imaginative, immersive and participatory space to experience and engage with the contemporary arts. Initially launched through Kickstarter (the online crowd-funding platform) to secure initial funds for the installation and supported by the RSA, the event grew from conversations about the need for a permanent contemporary arts space in Bath and was the first RSA project to reach its crowd-funded target.

Sponsors included:
RSA, Herman Miller Cares, Grant Associates, 5x5x5=creativity, Arts Council England, Bath Spa University, B&NES, Wyevale Nurseries, Ideas of the Mind.

NEWSFLASH: The next Forest of Imagination is now confirmed for 2015.
